If you are going to wear bi-colors, the right thing to do is to pick up one of the colors. In this case, either purple or black alone would look smart, but I got greedy and picked up both. However, to avoid a heavy impression, we chose a lavender half-zip fleece with an inner lining that is close to purple, adding just the right amount of pop.
