Improvising a band soundtrack for a skate film. I’m curious about this video project, created by a key figure on the West Coast to celebrate Sherrys’ 5th anniversary.

He is a filmmaker and photographer, as well as a surfer and painter, and as the owner of the record label "GALAXIA"—which represents artists such as Tommy Guerrero—he is one of the key figures in West Coast American culture.

After seven long years, Thomas Campbell has released his skateboarding film, *YE OLDE DESTRUCTION*. Released in 2019, the film was shot primarily on 16mm film and is entirely in black and white.

You can spot skaters connected to Thomas Campbell, including Jason Adams, Max Scharf, Ray Barbee, Stefan Janoski, Omar Salazar, Andy Roy, and many others.

It’s been about seven years since the release of that classic film. The vintage clothing store located in Shimo-Takaido"SHELLY’S USED CLOTHING"To commemorate its 5th anniversary,Sasazuka BowlWe’ve received news that a screening will be held there.

Since 16mm film cannot record sound, the screening will feature a live, improvised musical accompaniment by a band—an experience that’s quite rare in Japan.

The event is scheduled for Monday, February 23 (a national holiday), starting at 7:00 PM. The screening starts at 9:00 PM, with DJs spinning before and after. We’ll be celebrating the 5th anniversary of “Sherry’s Used Clothing” with the beautiful visuals and great music of “YE OLDE DESTRUCTION.” We can’t think of a better way to spend the last holiday of February.
