Based in New Hampshire, USA, and having laid the foundation for American workwear, Amoskeag has unveiled a new collection that reinterprets lost techniques and philosophies for the modern era. Rather than simply reproducing past designs and specifications, the brand adapts them to the modern era using carefully selected materials, making a splash in the fashion scene as a new brand that carries on its rich heritage.
This collection features a total of 12 items. It focuses on fabric production from an era when processes such as shrink-proofing and twist-proofing did not exist. What is particularly striking is how the collection reimagines these processes, capturing the unevenness and texture of the raw fabric from that time, as well as the unique expressions achieved through early-stage processing and washing the fabric in its raw state.
While each item features a design centered on the unique character of the materials—which is *Amoskeig*’s greatest strength—it’s a shame that this doesn’t come across well in photos. The actual pieces have a truly distinctive, rich finish, so please be sure to pick one up and take a closer look.
