Zines are a medium that vividly reflects the creator’s personality and offers the chance to discover independent talent. Located in Daita-bashi,flotsam bookshas been promoting such zines for many years, bringing countless works—by both well-known and lesser-known creators—to the public.
The "ZINE TOUR," which visits independent bookstores across the country, has been held annually for the past few years. With each new edition, the excitement just keeps growing.
And, following last year’s event, the “ZINES FAIR at CP+” will be held again this year at a special venue within “CP+,” the world’s premier photography and camera show.
The location is"Pacifico Yokohama"And the venue is 1.5 times larger than last year’s. Kaido, GRAF, Osamu Kanemura, Hiroko Komatsu, Masato Hosokura, Yusuke Yamaya, HIGH(er) MAGAZINE, Yuki Takahashi, Hiroshi Nomura, Fujimura Family, osakentaro, and many more—a total of 184 creators’ works, in the form of zines, are on display. This year, the event will feature booths where the creators themselves will be on hand to sell their work!
The world of zines is truly a place of absolute freedom. So, if readers can trust their own instincts and enjoy them freely, that’s one way to experience them.
