"DIGGIN DEEP 2026" was held over two days, Saturday, March 7, and Sunday, March 8, at "Daikanyama T-SITE." Now in its third year, this event is an outdoor cultural market where music serves as the central theme, bringing together fashion, art, lifestyle, and drinks—a melting pot of all things creative.
On the day of the event, we at Fuinam were there as media partners to witness the excitement firsthand. Here’s a quick look at what went down!
Discover new sensibilities and the joy of “digging” through “DIGGIN DEEP 2026.”
The weather couldn’t have been better—a perfectly clear, sunny day. On this pleasant weekend, with warm sunlight streaming down and everyone sensing the transition from winter to spring, “DIGGIN DEEP 2026” took place.
The plaza at “Daikanyama T-SITE” was packed with people, all "DIGGING" into music, clothes, art, and miscellaneous goods in their own way!
As media partners, we at Fuinam are also taking on the important role of supporting our sister publication,Girlfwinham. We participated on both days, offering a selection of personal items from our editorial staff as well as collaborative merchandise. Though our contribution was small, we were happy to play a part in making the event a success.
The vendor booth area features a lineup of charming items curated with the owners’ personal passion—ranging from clothing to records, art, and miscellaneous goods—including “danjil,” a vintage shop that has been a regular contributor to our Fuinam series; “I&I,” a vintage clothing store from Shibuya; and “Delicious Sendai,” a renowned shop from Sendai.
Not only will you discover new items, but you’ll also have the unique opportunity to hear stories about them directly from our staff.
And perhaps the depth of this place—Daikanyama T-SITE, a “cultural stronghold for adults”—is what makes the experience even richer.
DIG’s “ear candy,” complete with spectacular live performances, DJs, and talk segments.
The highlights of the two-day event were undoubtedly the live performances featuring star-studded guests and the talk show hosted by "Asahi The Vitalist."
On the first day, the five-piece band "HAPPY" from Kyoto took the stage at the special venue behind Daikanyama T-SITE, followed by Mitsufumi Shimozu, the vocalist of "Odotte Bakari no Kuni," on the 8th. Under clear skies, they got the crowd moving as if they were at a music festival.
The crowd is diverse, drawing everyone from fashion-forward trendsetters to die-hard music fans and energetic kids—regardless of age or nationality—giving the entire T-SITE a vibrant, energetic atmosphere.
What drew a crowd as large as that of a live concert wasThis articleA talk show featuring vintage fashion comedian and embroidery artist Goodwalkin Ueda and model Saki Shibata, who also appeared in the campaign, discussing their personal lifestyle philosophies and the bold bitterness and vibrant flavor of “Asahi The Vitalist.”
The conversation, which took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere from start to finish, covered everything from how these two longtime acquaintances—who share a love of vintage clothing—first became captivated by it to the latest trends in fashion.
The conversation about alcohol was a big hit, featuring Mr. Shibata—a novice drinker who only started drinking seriously a few years ago—and Mr. Ueda, who insists on always having beer for his first drink.
Both of them said they always drink beer as a reward “when they’ve accomplished something,” and they seemed completely captivated by the unprecedented flavor of “Asahi The Vitalist,” with its rich depth and complex, vibrant taste.
It was striking how the two of them agreed that this flavor suits them precisely because, having charged headlong after their passions all this time, they’ve become adults who’ve experienced life’s ups and downs.
In addition, the Asahi Beer booth hosted a participatory event featuring samples of “Asahi The Vitalist” and a raffle for luxury prizes for those who posted photos on social media, and it too was bustling with crowds over the two-day period.
It has a refreshing aftertaste and is perfect for the warmer months ahead, so be sure to give it a try!
After the talk show wrapped up, the two vintage enthusiasts made their way around the various booths, digging through the items themselves. Isn’t the real appeal of an outdoor market event that participants can enjoy it freely at their own pace?
Following its debut at Daikanyama T-SITE, “DIGGIN DEEP 2026” toured three locations: Tsutaya Bookstore in Okazaki, Kyoto, and Shonan T-SITE. This special weekend event, where attendees could freely “DIG” into their favorite things, concluded to great success at each venue.
