That is the philosophy behind the brand “UNGRAVITY,” which launched this season.

Drawing on more than 25 years of experience as a one-stop provider—from yarn and fabric development to patternmaking and sewing—this brand creates products that bring out the inherent qualities of the materials to the fullest. In the rapidly changing world of fashion, we have a feeling that its approach to craftsmanship—uninfluenced by fleeting trends—will make waves in the industry.

The Spring/Summer 2026 collection, the brand’s first season, is built around two specially crafted materials.

One of these is “High-Density Memory Taffeta.” By imparting shape-memory properties to densely woven taffeta, it creates a sense of depth within a matte texture. It not only offers water-repellent functionality but also incorporates even the wrinkles that form when worn into the design.

Another product is “Traditional Omi-Sarashi Cotton,” which incorporates the traditional “Omi-Sarashi” processing method passed down in the Omi region of Shiga Prefecture. By kneading the fabric to create a natural textured finish, it achieves a springy, voluminous feel and a dry, comfortable drape against the skin—all while maintaining a 100% cotton composition.
