Reggae, dub, punk, you name it, DADDY G and DON LETTS of MASSIVE ATTACK, key figures in the UK subculture, are coming to Japan!

Thanks to the steady stream of international artists visiting Japan that began last year, the country’s live music scene is currently thriving. With exciting shows to look forward to almost every month, fans of Western music are thrilled.

When it comes to events to keep an eye out for in April, the joint tour by DADDY G and DON LETTS of MASSIVE ATTACK—two key figures in UK subculture—is definitely one to watch.

DADDY G, a core member of MASSIVE ATTACK and founder of WILD BUNCH SOUND SYSTEM; and DON LETTS, a key figure in bridging punk and reggae in London who continues to work as a DJ and musician at the forefront of the scene.

The two of them are coming to Japan together. Organized by REBEL DREAD HARDWARE—which counts DON LETTS among its members—they will kick off a nationwide tour at Liquidroom on Friday, April 10.

Speaking of Daddy G, it was just announced that he’ll be headlining Fuji Rock as part of Massive Attack. With a new album on the way and a major tour coming up, this is the perfect timing.

I can say with certainty that this is undoubtedly a rare opportunity to experience authentic UK culture firsthand.
