Audio equipment is often discussed in terms of functionality, such as sound quality and specifications, and there have been few opportunities to view it in the context of interior design, like furniture.
Shifting this perspective, the exhibition "INTERIOR WITH SOUND -Interior with Vintage Audio and Style-" is currently being held at Gallery 85.4 in Jingumae, Tokyo, to reconsider audio as a mainstay of space.
Vintage audio equipment owned by Takayuki Minami, creative director of Graphpaper and FreshService, will be on display at the event.
The exhibition focuses on vintage audio equipment that transcends its role as audio equipment and stands as the center of the space, focusing on the relationship between sound and place, while also presenting a visually viable interior design.
Vintage audio and related products that will be on display will be for sale, and it is also possible to take a piece of the space home with you. We invite you to visit the venue and immerse yourself in the singular space woven by the relationship between sound and place.
