The bookstore and gallery Bong Sadhu Room in Enoshima is celebrating its first anniversary! To mark the occasion, we are hosting an exhibition by Risako Yamamoto.

An artist based in Shonan,Taikou Kanedaand photographer—Mikito Momonothe publishing platform "Bong Sadhu“With ”an outside perspective' as their theme, they are actively engaged in activities such as planning publications and exhibitions, as well as participating in art book fairs."

The gallery they opened in their hometown of Enoshima, "Bong Sadhu Room," is celebrating its first anniversary! To mark this milestone,Risako YamamotoThe exhibition will open on Friday, April 24.

After working as a hair and makeup artist, Risako Yamamoto has been creating a wide range of works—including paintings, sculptures, ceramics, and drawings—based on her own artistic sensibilities since 2019. This exhibition features a lineup of works that includes her ceramic pieces, new watercolor paintings created in April, as well as a new book and merchandise to be published by “Bonsadu.”

And on the first day, Friday the 24th, starting at 5:00 PM, we’ll be hosting an opening and anniversary party! At the Chigasaki brewery “Pacific Brewing" will be served.
