The title “SPAWN” refers to the act of laying eggs. From there, it has evolved into slang meaning to generate new ideas or phenomena. In this sense, the Michael depicted by Mau—who lacks a fixed form and can be created from any landscape through simple lines—is truly a “SPAWN”-like entity.
This exhibition features works inspired by the original meaning of “SPAWN,” all centered on the theme of “Blood” (both the fluid and kinship). While the theme is somewhat heavy, the key is striking a balance by presenting the works in a pop style to keep them from feeling too dark.
In addition to the exhibition and sale of artwork, new merchandise such as zines, bandanas, and keychains will be available for purchase at the venue. Furthermore, Takamatsu’s “OHLOY BREWINGA collaborative craft beer with [Brand Name] is also now available. There are two types of labels: one exclusive to the event and one for general distribution. Fans should definitely try to get their hands on the limited-edition label at the venue.
