Biotope's first special order for Birkenstock. Based on the "KYOTO" series, this is a luxurious update.

BIRKENSTOCK, which uses the names of places around the world as the names of its items, released the "KYOTO" model in 2020. The upper design is characterized by the image of a kimono collar, and is based on the silhouette of the "ZURICH" model, a popular standard model in Japan.

This time, "KYOTO" was specially ordered by "BIOTOP". The store's unique "Birkenstock" was born in pursuit of a sense of luxury.

In this special order, the footbed lining has been changed from suede to natural leather. Even the sides, where cork would normally peek through, are covered in natural leather, a so-called “FULL EXQUISITE” specification that is the highest level of upgrade.

The main part of the upper is suede, and the strap part is made of a shiny leather called high-shine leather. The greatest feature is that the suede upper, high-shine leather strap, insole, and outsole are made of different materials and finished in one-tone black to give a deep sense of luxury.
