The Pantone Chair became an icon in the history of furniture design in the first place because it was the world's first chair made of one-piece molded plastic cantilever. The inspiration for this limited edition was Verner Panton's futuristic color sense and experimental color approach. Based on his design philosophy, seven colors were shortlisted, intentionally eliminating black and white in favor of primary colors.
