As the World Cup finally kicks off and the whole world gets caught up in the excitement, the buzz here just keeps growing with each new installment. We’re talking about the “flotsam zines tour 2026,” where independent zines from all over Japan come together for a tour visiting 18 locations nationwide.

With a collection of over 200 zines, the event features not only the general public but also creators currently active in the field. One of the highlights of the “flotsam zines tour 2026” is the opportunity to get your hands on works by a diverse array of creators, including Osamu Kanemura, Hiroko Komatsu, Yoko Kusano, Kohei Kanno, Kyohei Hattori, Taka Mayumi, and Motohiko Hasui.
For this event, we welcomed photographer Yutaka Amano as a special selection committee member, who chose one book based on his unique perspective. We are also planning to hold an exhibition featuring the selected work at a later date.
