For 40 years, we’ve been touching hearts through music. The venue for Ultra Vibe’s 40th-anniversary celebration is Liquid Room.

1986 was the year Argentina won the World Cup in Mexico, the long-running TV show *Music Station* debuted, and the movie *Top Gun* became a massive hit. It was a music label launched in that year, as the end of the Shōwa era began to come into view.〈ULTRA-VYBE〉However, in 2026, we celebrated our 40th anniversary.

While we’ve continued to bring listeners countless songs across all genres, many of you Fuinam readers likely still associate us most strongly with hip-hop.

True to that image, we will be hosting an event titled “ULTRA-VYBE 40th Anniversary Event ”FORTH FROM FORTY’” to commemorate the label’s 40th anniversary.

The first installment took place on Sunday, May 10—about a month ago—at "LIQUIDROOM" in Ebisu, featuring LIBRO, D.O & Kan a.k.a. GAMI, DJ KRUSH, and Taga Ryu each performed 40-minute sets of live music and DJ sets.

The second installment will take place this weekend, on Saturday, June 20, also at Liquidroom. With performances by THA BLUE HERB, SHINGO★Nishinari, TOKYO Sekai, and GADORO, it’s sure to be another fantastic anniversary event, just like the first one.
