When it comes to brands with a history spanning more than 50 years that offer casual wear rooted in everyday life, ASPESI is the one to mention.
We’d like to introduce “KENTARO OKAWARA SPECIAL EXHIBITION AT ASPESI TOKYO,” a solo exhibition by illustrator Kentaro Okawara being held at the brand’s flagship store, “ASPESI TOKYO,” in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo.
The store will display large-scale original paintings and three-dimensional works, and on the first day of the exhibition, the artist himself will hold a drawing session.
For those who may not be familiar with him, Okawara draws inspiration from the people around him and everyday events to create works centered on themes of love and emotion. His style has a playful quality reminiscent of a child’s doodles, making his work feel very relatable.
He previously appeared in the “ASPESI SNAPS” section on the official ASPESI website. It is said that this led to him holding a solo exhibition.
During the event, Okawara merchandise will be available for purchase at the store. Also, if you sign up for the free “ASPESI CLUB” membership, you’ll receive an original “ASPESI” sticker designed by him.
The solo exhibition will run for about two weeks starting Saturday, July 11. Please note that reservations are required only for observing the drawing sessions.
