A Japanese summer, an American vibe. A stylish summer festival is being held that blends the best of both countries.

The sweltering heat continues across the Japanese archipelago. It’s just such a lifeless kind of heat, isn’t it? It’s almost as if all there is is humidity.

Just at a time like this, there’s an event taking place that’s sure to get your blood pumping—in a good way, I mean?

"Triangle: The Festival of the Paulownia Blossoms at the Height of Summer" and "MILES & FINDS 3013 Across the America."

From the brand “SUN/KAKKE,” led by designer Yuhi Ozaki, the collection features linen shirts and T-shirts perfect for the summer heat, as well as an extensive lineup of the “WALLET SUN/KAKKE,” which is hugely popular among fashion-conscious shoppers.

And then there’s the latter, “MILES & FINDS 3013 Across the America.”

This is a sale featuring items that Mr. Ozaki and Mr. Shinji Sekizuka of “Rimotsu Sekizuka” recently purchased while traveling in the United States.

“A collection of vintage items, vintage clothing, and jewelry—all things I’ve gathered while traveling around the U.S. that just feel right. There will be a wide variety of items on display, including pieces sourced by Mr. Ozaki and those I’ve sourced myself. There are actually some things I’d rather not part with, but we’ll be selling everything,” said Mr. Sekizuka.

On Saturday, July 25, at the Kyoto wine bar “TOMO"I hear they also serve Tex-Mex cuisine."
