That title embodies Aru-2’s feelings as follows.

“The group’s activities as ”Jackson Box” began with a live session at The D.O.G.s Longe, an event hosted by Dogear Records in the summer of 2024.
After that, we performed together at parties and festivals across the country while continuing to record, eventually completing the album.
The album title ”Jaz” is meant to suggest music that sounds like jazz but isn’t actually jazz—it’s music that feels as though something is missing.
One day during a recording session, he—a jazz major—began saying, “I can’t call myself a jazz trumpeter,” and and his story about his humble attitude—that he couldn’t treat “JAZZ” lightly out of respect for the genre—left a profound impression on me. It made me reflect on my own superficiality in daily life, and that’s why I decided to call this work “Jaz.”

"Jaz," which began streaming on Wednesday, September 2, uses programming toBudamunk....features. The album consists of 12 exquisite tracks that blend deep, groovy beats with the improvisational spirit and beautiful melodies of jazz throughout. Mixed and mastered by Aru-2, with artwork bySyu Miura, DesignMarfa by Kazuhiko Fujitais in charge of the project.
