"soft room," a group exhibition by six photographers who view photographs from the camera's perspective.
The concept is to use authentic camera introductions and sample photographs to focus on the processes and objects that fall outside the scope of works of art and exhibitions, and to explore the “room”—a space where unwritten cultures, existences, and phenomena intertwine.

Participants in the exhibition include Daisuke Yokota, Kanade Hamamoto, Naohiro Udagawa, Naoto Furuta, Yoko Kusano, and Seiko Watanabe. We will publish and sell an anthology booklet that details the cameras, equipment, and shooting processes used by each artist to create their respective works, which are featured in the exhibition.

During the exhibition, publications (photobooks and zines) by participating artists—including new works—will be on display and for sale, and portfolio reviews will be held over two days to discuss works that are still in the planning stages.

Bring your portfolio and camera, and talk with the participating artists. Rather than a formal review, we’ll explore ways to articulate and clarify your work through conversation. Eligibility Requirements: 30 years old or younger. Art forms in which photography is the primary medium or includes photographs.
Note: Your portfolio can be in any format (it doesn't have to be perfect), and please bring your camera if you can.
On the Day of the Event: Please pay the participation fee in cash on the day of the event. Since the venue will be open to the public, other customers will be present (walk-ins are generally not permitted). In addition to the artist, a moderator will be present on the day of the event to ensure a safe environment.
