Celebrating the launch of HelloWear from Chums! We’ve teamed up with Danner to create an all-suede, urban-style Washougal.

With the fall/winter season kicking off, the fashion industry is brimming with news stories every day. This collaboration is sure to surprise and delight our readers.

HelloWear from Chums × Danner “WASHOUGAL SMU” ¥55,000

"HelloWear from Chums," launched this fall by Chums. We featured it in a special article here on Fuinam, and to celebrate the launch, Chums also collaborated with Danner.

When selecting the model, we prioritized the Japanese American casual style that lies at the heart of “HelloWear.” In that context, when it comes to work boots, the iconic “Danner Light” by Danner is the obvious choice. This time, drawing on that legacy, we launched this project based on “WASHOUGAL,” a brand crafted in Japan.

A key feature is that it’s made entirely of suede. It’s inspired by the soft, brushed cotton fleece used in the “Hurricane Top,” an iconic piece from “HelloWear.”

We selected three colors from the nine used in this season's "HelloWear" collection: charcoal for the main body, turquoise for the outer side panels, and oatmeal for the inner side panels.

As a mark of this collaboration, the heel features an embossed Old Booby design, which is also used on the logo and the “HelloWear” tag. Additionally, the inside of the tongue is sewn with a reissued woven label used by “HelloWear,” making this a one-of-a-kind, special design.

Don't forget about the features, either. The lining features the "DANNER DRY" breathable, waterproof membrane, ensuring comfort even in inclement weather. The sole features "TRACTION CASCADE" by "VIBRAM®," which offers excellent grip and proves invaluable in a variety of outdoor settings.

In addition, the “Ortholite®” cup insoles feature logos from both brands printed on them.
