These days, new collaborations are announced day and night, but there may be few others quite as genuine as this one.

〈AURALEE〉 and 〈Salon C. Lundman〉 in Stockholm, Sweden. What brought these two together was a close dialogue between Ryota Iwai and Christopher Lundman that spanned several years.

The understated, high-quality collection that emerged from this was named “A Conversation.”

The collection features items that blend 〈Auralee〉’s signature original fabrics and classic pieces with the exquisite tailoring and detailed craftsmanship of 〈Salon C. Lundman〉. Produced in extremely limited quantities, the collection will go on sale at “DOVER STREET MARKET GINZA” starting Saturday, October 24.

In addition, this project uses portraits to illustrate how the same garment takes on different forms and meanings depending on the wearer, as various people model a single look. To coincide with the launch, the portraits of these 12 individuals will be displayed as large-format posters at “DOVER STREET MARKET GINZA.” Visitors are free to take home the posters stacked in the store.

Looking back, it’s rare for 〈Auralee〉 to launch a collaboration with an apparel brand. That’s precisely why it’s easy to imagine that this collaboration holds special significance.
