IWS LAB, a brand centered on the theme of working in Shimokitazawa, has launched! Don’t miss the pop-up currently taking place at Mikan Shimokitazawa or the party featuring up-and-coming DJs.

To promote the appeal of working in the Shimokitazawa area—which has traditionally not been strongly associated with employment—we have undertaken various initiatives, such as creating the “Shimokitazawa WORKERs Uniform” and developing the “Shimokitazawa Coworking PASS.”

From “IWS,” the community brand “IWS LAB” has been launched to showcase the city’s diverse work styles and culture!

“Based on the concept ”JOY WORKS HERE. (Work What You Love),” a limited-edition collection of original workwear created in collaboration with local shops is now on sale at “TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Shimokitazawa” through Friday, November 13.

In addition, they have released a photo book featuring people who work in the neighborhood, including long-established restaurants, clubs, and an eyewear brand that originated in Shimokitazawa. Although this book is not for sale, it offers a glimpse into the authentic atmosphere of the neighborhood.

Then, on Wednesday, November 11, the event “POP-UP PARTY meets JIBA” will be held at “Sunabako,” an alternative space in Shimokitazawa. During the day, the space will be open as a free coworking space, featuring an exhibition of “IWS LAB” original apparel and photo books. In the evening, the event will be held in conjunction with “JIBA”—an event that connects people like a magnetic field—and will feature guests from Kitakyushu, including lee (asano+ryuhei), as well as VIBEPAK, U-holic, and Yusuke Murakami, with a lineup planned to include live beats, dance performances, DJs, and VJ performances.
