This is the fifth collaboration between the two companies. The designer of Nexus Seven, Mr. Tomohiro Konno, has a deep knowledge of military affairs, and was inspired by the liners that come with military jackets.
The front of the garment uses a collarless design to maintain a minimalist look. In addition, zippers and buttons have been eliminated, and pockets with large watertight zips are included on both sides.
The down pack is sealed using a special thermo-compression technology, a feature of Descente Ortelaine, to prevent down from falling out between the stitches and rainwater from entering the garment. Furthermore, the volume characteristic of down is suppressed, so it looks good as an inner layer for a coat.
