Born in 1988, she graduated from the University of the Arts London and returned to Japan in 2016. Based in Ehime and Tokyo, artist Ayako Otake continues her vigorous creative activities in Japan and abroad. Her solo exhibition "COSMOS DISCO" will be held at DIESEL ART GALLERY starting this weekend. This is the first exhibition in Japan to present both drawings and photographs at the same time.

In this exhibition, more than 30 new works will be on display and for sale, as well as zines and other related goods. In addition, a series of full-color zines including "NIPPON," "SOMEWHERE," "SWI-SS," and other full-color zines based on his photographic works will be on sale, including a new publication, "PAPAPARIS," which incorporates scenes from his stay in Paris.
, the first day of the exhibition, from May 31 to June 4, she will be in residence for five days to work on her drawings. On July 20, a live painting session will be held from 3:00 p.m., and an artist talk event will be held from 4:30 p.m. with musician Trio Ohashi as a guest.
This long-awaited solo exhibition, which will be on view until mid-August, will allow visitors to enjoy the dazzling world of works "collected" by Ayako Ohtake's imagination, from the endlessly expanding universe to the microscopic realm of the inner cellular membrane.
