Neighborhood x Shaka sandals look great in summer.

“NEIGHBORHOOD. is collaborating for the first time with the South African sandal brand SHAKA, which was born in South Africa in the 1990s.

With its original design based on the motif of traditional African footwear, "Shaka" was favored by many freaks in Japan in the late 1990s, when the outdoor boom was in full swing. However, the brand temporarily disappeared with the end of the boom, but was reintroduced in Japan in 2013 with the support of the recent rekindling of the outdoor boom. Each item in the lineup faithfully reproduces the archives of the time, while adding updates to the sole strength, cushioning performance, and other aspects to give them a modern twist.

Two models were selected for this collaboration: the HIKER, with its strap design that wraps around the upper portion and sneaker-like comfort, and the CHILL OUT, a slide-on sandal for everyday wear.

The original Neighborhood graphic design on the webbing tape is the perfect accent for summer styles that tend to be simple. The "HIKER" comes in BLACK and OLIVE DRAB, while the "CHILL OUT" comes in BLACK and ORANGE.
