It was suddenly announced in 2018,TAG Heuerand Hiroshi Fujiwara's "fragment design" collaboration. At the time, the watch industry was shaken by this unique and unusual combination.
What we present here is the second of a series of collaborations that will follow this one.
This time, TAG Heuer reinterprets the C-case model inspired by the world of car racing in the 1960s and 1970s, with an extremely simple design that is free of excessive ornamentation. The dial has sub-counters at 3 and 9 o'clock, and the red indexes and three hands add a touch of zest to the dial. An inazuma, which indicates "Fragment Design," appears at 12 o'clock, and the brand's logo appears between 4 and 5 o'clock.
. The highlights are not limited to that. The case bag is made of a brightly colored red sapphire crystal that reveals the Heuer 02 in-house movement, which is the ultimate in luxury. The inazimuth and serial number on the case bag further enhance the watch's special features.
Fujiwara said, "To create this timepiece, I took the opportunity to interpret an existing legacy. The red caseback reflects one of the brand's colors, giving it a modern appeal and evolved personality. The heart of the watch, the Heuer 02, boasts an impressive power reserve of approximately 80 hours.
The case diameter is a strong presence at 44 mm , and the bracelet is made of stainless steel with a five-strand stainless steel bracelet.
The release date is scheduled for late July. This is a special model limited to 500 pieces worldwide. This piece is sure to make its mark on the times, and once again, we have a feeling that it will be a hotly contested item. The watch will be available at TAG Heuer's official online boutique, so if you are thinking of buying one, focus on this one.
