Needles and ASICS. The two men, who unexpectedly collaborated for the first time, chose an 80's bash as their base model.

NEEDLES puts a great deal of effort into its lineup of shoes each season. The lineup is diverse, ranging from leather shoes to sneakers, both originals and collaborations, and boasts an overwhelming selection compared to other brands.

This season's highlight is a special edition with ASICS, which will release a pair of shoes based on the EX 89, a high-end basketball shoe that debuted in 1989, tomorrow, September 30 (Sat.).

They are available in two colors: white and black. Each color will have purple, the brand color of "Needles," applied to the stitching and lining. Two types of laces are available: white, black laces in the same color as the body, and purple laces that can be used to change the flavor of the shoes.

As proof of the collaboration, the "Needles" logo is embroidered on the tongue and the Papillon, the brand's icon, on the heel counter. The stitchwork, reminiscent of the side tapes of the Needles' truck series, effectively accentuates the design.

In this day and age of running shoes, the choice of a classic 80's bash as a base model is a very interesting and unique feature of "Needles," and it really struck a chord with us. It completely caught me by surprise.
