These days, mountain activities—from hiking to trail running—are all the rage. The rain shell from *Outdoor Research* that I wear when hiking also doubles as a great lightweight outer layer for fall. It’s comfortable and allows for easy movement, while also keeping the rain off—and thanks to its stylish design, it looks just as natural when worn around town. To round out the look, I’ve deliberately paired it with a Black Watch cap and jeans for a casual vibe. The key to pulling off a “Goop Core” style in the city is to avoid looking too “techy.”
