From Polo Fest exclusive items to vintage pieces and repaired goods—find items you can only discover here.
Of course, the fun isn't limited to the exhibits.
One of the main attractions for visitors is the sale of venue-exclusive items, such as polo shirts and T-shirts featuring limited-edition graphics, as well as posters reminiscent of past visuals. Since this is a brand with passionate collectors worldwide—not just for its apparel but also for its souvenirs and merchandise—there’s no doubt these items will become collectibles in their own right, serving as part of the brand’s future archive.
In particular, the limited-edition deck focused on skate culture seems to offer a glimpse into the new way Polo Ralph Lauren is engaging with sports.
In addition, as part of initiatives unique to Japan, the collection highlights items that showcase craftsmanship, such as sashiko.
In collaboration with “Brown Tabby Works,” “Sasaki Yohshoten,” and “Sashiko Gals,” one-of-a-kind pieces—reborn through each partner’s craftsmanship—were sold via a lottery. This initiative gives new value to well-worn clothing and passes it on to the next generation. It was a fascinating endeavor where Japanese fashion culture intersected with the craftsmanship of Polo Ralph Lauren.
What really sparked the visitors’ desire to shop was the sale of archival pieces gathered from 17 vintage shops and collectors both in Japan and abroad.
“ENGLISH TWEED,” “POLO COUNTRY,” which evokes Western culture, “POLO SPORT,” which is particularly popular in the vintage market, and “OUTDOORSMAN,” which embodies the functional beauty of outdoor activities like sailing and skiing. Items divided into these four categories are displayed in a space designed to resemble independent shops. The total number of items is a staggering 5,000.
What’s more, since the sale of these vintage pieces is a Japan-exclusive event, it’s definitely not to be missed. Faced with these rare items gathered from all over the world, I’m sure many people found themselves losing track of time.
Since we have this opportunity, we wanted to hear from the people who know the appeal of these vintage pieces better than anyone else. So, we asked collectors from around the world about their impressions of “PoloFest” and what makes Polo Ralph Lauren so beloved in their respective countries and regions.
