One of the members of "STUDIO". . completed the Graduate School of Oil Painting at Tokyo University of the Arts in March of this year. He will hold a solo exhibition in Setagaya-ku, Tokyo in September.

They are classic and cool. The standard design suits me, and I think it is a pair that I can wear for a long time without getting tired of it. I like the fact that they are not a standard model, so it is hard for other people to wear them. I think that's what makes them so cool.
-How did you get started in oil painting?
I had been doing silk screens and graphics, but I wanted to leave my work in a museum, and in my search I came across this expression. When I touched the paint again, I felt for the first time that I could continue until I die.
-Today you brought us an original painting that was producted out into a bandana.
. This is more like a design than a painting. . I was able to complete this work by harmonizing my graphic work with my drawing self. It is both fashion and art.
-Do you feel there is a difference between painting and design in terms of production?
Since the axis of expressing oneself is the same, I think it is all the same. There is no big difference between painting, silkscreening, and computer-generated graphics. The output method is different, but the essence is the same.
-What do you consider to be the appeal of art?
. What comes to mind right now is freedom. Everyone has been drawing pictures since childhood. I like that kind of free and pure drawing. I think the appeal of art is that it puts everyone on an equal footing.
-You have been working on the theme of "movable windows." Have any aspects of your work changed from the beginning to the present?
Lately I haven't been drawing window grids. I call them inside and outside the window, this side and that side, but I can't tell at a glance anymore. As for myself, I feel like I am climbing up a little bit at a time. When you are alive, you absorb all kinds of things. Inspirations I feel, criticisms from others, and so on. . Since these things are adding value every day, I think it is only natural for me to change.
