This new product announcement is sure to make you exclaim, “Really!?” HARIO, the manufacturer of heat-resistant glassware, is launching its own line of coffee beans. And they’re single-origin, to boot.
It’s not surprising, given that Hario is the company that made coffee more enjoyable with its cone-shaped “V60” dripper. Still, I never expected them to release a line of coffee beans.
We’ve released three single-origin coffees—light to medium roasts—that showcase the best qualities of the V60.
HARIO COFFEE BEANS / GEISHA Washed (100g) Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price: ¥4,950
HARIO COFFEE BEANS / THAI COFFEE Washed (200g) Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price: ¥3,300
HARIO COFFEE BEANS / THAI COFFEE Natural (200g) Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price: 1,930 yen
One is the “Panama Lerida Monniche, Geisha, Washed,” produced at the Panama Lerida Farm, which boasts a 100-year history. The other two are varieties of Typica coffee from the Phayoi Farm in Mae Hong Son Province, northern Thailand, which is committed to pesticide-free, natural farming methods. We offer two distinct profiles—one with berry notes and the other with nutty notes—so you can enjoy the differences in flavor.
This product was developed based on Hario’s concept of “enjoying the process from bean selection to brewing.” It will be released sequentially at Hario Cafe locations and through their online store. We hope you’ll enjoy a warm and rich coffee experience this winter.
