Having previously announced two collaborations, 〈Barbour” and “KAPTAIN SUNSHINE〉However, the third collection has been announced.
This collection draws inspiration from the construction and practicality of maritime workwear. Honoring the roots of Barbour—a brand born to protect fishermen and sailors—Captain Sunshine has reimagined the archives with a contemporary twist.
One example is the "Endurance Jacket" from the early 1990s. It features a modular 2-in-1 design made from lightweight dry-waxed cotton, complete with a short, detachable hooded overcoat.
The other style is a smock-style jacket inspired by the “Transport Jacket” released in 2000 and archival sailing jackets. This piece also features a modular design and is equipped with a drawcord at the hem and side zippers.
Both collections are available in three colors: light olive, dark indigo, and oatmeal. They go on sale on Thursday, February 5. They will be available at "KAPTAIN SUNSHINE AOYAMA" and each brand’s online store. Why not kick off the spring and summer seasons with these pieces that you can wear right now and have fun mixing and matching?
