The photo exhibition “” by Shota Shinjo—known as “Paulo”—which has toured various regions of Japan, including “TOXGO” in Tokyo, “WAKE.” in Sapporo, “ANCHORET” in Hiroshima, and “FILMVAK” in Kagoshima, “Night Field". This event, driven by a desire to share a new interpretation of soccer with as many people as possible, has grown in both breadth and depth with each successive edition.
And the highly anticipated latest installment kicks off this weekend—for the first time in the Osaka area! Featuring a new work filmed in London this past February, the event will be held at “IMES” on the second floor of “IMA:ZINE,” a venue with which Mr. Shinjo has long been closely associated.
With less than a month to go until the start of the “2026 FIFA World Cup,” soccer fans are eagerly counting down the days. Why not start by checking this out and experiencing the wonders of soccer beyond just playing the game?
In addition to the photo exhibition and sales, the venue will also be selling T-shirts, blankets, and zines created to commemorate the “Night Field” event in Osaka. All of these items feature designs based on photos taken specifically for this event by Mr. Shinjo, making them exclusive items available only here—so be sure to pick some up as souvenirs.
In addition, on the first day, Saturday, May 23, the highly popular community event “B&W communication – Supported by adidas Football,” which promotes the theme of “playing soccer locally,” will be held at a futsal park in Osaka City! Participants will be able to play in uniform and jersey sets designed by three partners: “UTP,” the creative label led by Mr. Shinjo; “IMA:ZINE,” the venue; and adidas, known as the official supplier to the Japan national team.
