Levi's® Vintage Clothing has reissued the World War II model in a limited edition, faithfully reproducing the details of the 1944 model.

Among the vintage Levi's®, the so-called “World War II model” manufactured between 1942 and 1946 is particularly popular among many fans. This is a unique model with simplified details created due to material control during World War II.

Levi's® Vintage Clothing has reissued the 1944 model in a limited edition. Based on the original stored in the archive room in San Francisco, the irregular specifications of the wartime era have been faithfully reproduced.

Due to wartime thread-saving regulations, the iconic Arcuate stitching was substituted with paint. The paint gradually peels off as the garment is worn, and eventually disappears, a specification that has been reproduced in this reissued model.

Some Great War models have tabs that are sewn inside out and appear to be plain tabs. The tabs on the back pockets are turned inside out, showing the variation in the production environment during the war. Another point is that an S, which is considered to be the initial letter of "Simplify," has been added to the lot number on the patch.

The top button is a laurel button and the third button has the company name engraved on it. The slacks are made of olive drab-colored herringbone twill.

This model, reissued in Japan in both material and sewing, is made of 13.1oz red selvedge denim. The ability to be worn from rigid is the best part of the reissued model.
