NOAH was founded in New York and has stores in Tokyo and Osaka. The brand, which has long nurtured cultural crafts and grown to be loved by people all over the world, held the grand opening of its new store on May 29 (Fri.).
The store, Noah's fourth worldwide, is located in Los Angeles, a city blessed with an open location and mild climate. The 5,000-square-foot store is a concentrated collection of Noah's philosophy of skating, surfing, and apparel.
NOAH Los Angeles" has the essence of the Northeastern United States, symbolized by "NOAH," scattered throughout. The clean and minimalist construction based on white and brown tones coexists in perfect harmony with details that even feel somewhat familiar.
Designed for people to gather and socialize, the store will also serve as a cultural space for communication, with custom chairs, sofas, interiors, and kitchen cabinets that have been specially crafted.
We have also received comments from Brendon Babenzien, the founder of the company, so please check them out as well.
To my childhood self, who spent much of the year facing cold, rain, and snow, California was like a place where the roads were paved with gold and life seemed perfect. Even the desert drainage canals seemed like a dream, the coastline full of choices, the waves constantly crashing, the sun always shining. It seemed almost mythical. Every magazine had California skaters and surfers in it; the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Fishbone sounded like nothing we had heard before. We didn't know we needed it, but the moment we heard it, it all made sense. Everything that California brought to us was absorbed and layered on top of our original preppy sensibilities, sometimes punk, sometimes hip-hop styles. And it all formed a new Northeastern attitude. NOAH Los Angeles, which generously expresses the attitude toward culture and craft that the brand has cherished, is likely to become widely known as a new community spot. If you visit Los Angeles, why not visit NOAH Los Angeles?
