On April 25 (Sat.) and 26 (Sun.), the select store "1LDK1LDK in KAGAWA, a market event held in Takamatsu by 1LDK. A total of 11 unique stores rooted in the local community participated in the event. The event was characterized by the fact that it was a circulation-type event that used the entire city, rather than concentrating all the participating stores in one location. Starting with the first event in Iwata, Shizuoka Prefecture in 2024, we have held others in Okayama, Sendai, Fukuoka, and Osaka.

One of the customers of "1LDK annex" in Nagoya is from Iwata, and in a conversation between him and the Nagoya staff, we spontaneously decided to hold this event. We decided to hold this event because we saw it as a chance to make people living in areas other than Tokyo and Kyoto, where we have our store, aware of the event.

We hold these events at stores that we have connections with or that were introduced to us by people we have a relationship with. In the end, it comes down to people-to-people connections.

We narrowed down the genre of stores to select stores. I had never been to Kagawa before and was starting from zero, so I actually went to Takamatsu and did some diligent research.

The interesting thing about select stores is that they can be completely different depending on the buyer's aesthetic sense. We thought that by holding events together, we could inspire each other, and it would be interesting for the customers to experience the differences among the stores.

The best way to experience the world view and philosophy of a store is to visit that store, not a temporary booth. Takamatsu is a compact city, with many stores clustered in areas within walking distance. That is why it was best to have customers tour the city themselves, rather than having all the stores in one place. It is precisely because of Takamatsu that we were able to achieve this.
Besides, we didn't want to just pop up to get in. We wanted to have a positive impact on the area through our involvement. We also hoped that this event would be an opportunity for people to visit stores they had never been to before and discover something new.

A_Keyaki Plaza
First, we headed for "Marugamemachi Green," a commercial facility located in Kawaramachi, the center of Takamatsu. The main venue for this event was the "Keyaki Plaza" on the first floor of the building. The plaza is home to "1LDK" and "Circus"REMIX. store"Urban Research Doors, Inc.Four select stores from the "MUJI" brand gathered at the event with limited-edition goods prepared for the event.
And the beloved local eatery Auroil Brewing, "Candela Restaurant"Hibino ShotenThe restaurant also offers a wide variety of food and beverages to satisfy visitors' stomachs. The shops are also good for a quick snack before or after shopping. The team chose Hibino Shoten's curry and a collaboration beer from Auroi Brewing and 1LDK, an IPA, to fill our stomachs before visiting each store. The IPA beer has a strong aroma and bitterness that is as strong as the flavor of the curry, and it will quench your thirst.
And here is the highlight of the event, the no-hassle gift certificate. Inside the box are two types of gift certificates, 1,000 yen and 5,000 yen, which can be used at participating stores. The event ends as soon as they run out, so there were many people in attendance right after the event started. The event is a great opportunity to buy something you've been wanting to buy but haven't sure what to do with it.

Next, we visited ”CIRCUS,” a select store with a background in diverse cultures, including music, with fashion at its core. CIRCUS sees clothes not as something to be consumed, but as an expression of one's own style and values, and offers selections that are not influenced by trends. The spacious store, which used to be a warehouse of a gas company, features a lineup of brands such as Hender Scheme and VINL ARCHIVE, both of which are well-known brands in Finam.
