The scenery we see in our daily lives and the feelings we have about the things we actually experience. Happiness, warmth, and sadness all begin to quietly take shape over time.
Artist Yutaka Kobayashi says that he has reexamined such “traces of his heart's movement” while expressing them through his artwork. This exhibition, titled “DAYDREAM,” will be held as a traveling exhibition that tours two venues in Tokyo and one in Ishikawa Prefecture.
A sampling of the works to be exhibited
Yutaka Kobayashi specializes in warm lines and colors, and draws graphics and posters based on iconic motifs and fonts. His style is inspired by everyday life in the skate culture and community, which is also his starting point, and he will present more than 27 works, the largest number ever.
Finally, here is his own comment on his thoughts on the exhibition.
When I am working in my daily life, I sometimes suddenly recall events and feelings that I could not put into words at the time. I created this exhibition as if I were reexamining those feelings. I would also be happy if you could experience how the view of my work changes from place to place through the traveling exhibition format, a first for me.
