IWC Schaffhausen’s Pilot’s Watch: Unveiling Its 90-Year History. A 7-day exhibition has been announced.

In April of this year, a watch caught the eye of attendees at “Watches & Wonders,” a watch festival held in Geneva, Switzerland. It was the “Pilot’s Watch Venturer Vertical Drive” by IWC Schaffhausen.

With its striking, futuristic design and unique rotating bezel system, it is said that all functions can be operated without a crown.

It was designed and developed from the ground up in partnership with the U.S. company “Vast” for use in crewed spaceflight and in outer space. “Vast” is known as the company developing the world’s first private space station.

This timepiece could be described as the culmination of the expertise of IWC Schaffhausen, which this year marks its 90th anniversary of crafting “Pilot’s Watches.”

"The Next Space Age Exhibition (NSA Exhibition)," which focuses on the history of that brand's "Pilot's Watch," will be held.

This exhibition traces the history of aviation—from its early days to modern high-speed jets and manned spaceflight missions—through a collection of rare timepieces.

In addition, this year’s new releases—including the “Pilot’s Watch Venturer Vertical Drive”—will be on display.
