Inspiration comes from the stillness after the rain. Dolce’s new fragrance, K.M., evokes a sense of humidity and freshness.

〈Dorsay〉 Perfume ¥27,500–¥36,300 [ 50ml–90ml ] (Dorsay)

We’re right in the middle of the rainy season. Amid the steady drizzle—and occasional downpours—there are moments when the sun peeks through, and a quiet afterglow fills us with hope. D’ORSAY’s new fragrance, “Love After Rain. K.M.,” captures the essence of these poetic and uplifting scenes through scent.

The fragrance is a modern chypre—what calls a “neo-chypre.” At its heart is iris. By incorporating two types of iris—an aldehyde-like iris and iris butter—the fragrance establishes a solid foundation.

The composition is accented by the freshness of pear, lily of the valley, and ambrette. Moss and tonka bean intertwine to add a gentle, enveloping warmth. Rather than stifling humidity, it evokes a sense of calm that gently fades away. The image is one where the floral splendor and freshness stand out, without being overly wet.

There will also be versions featuring special calligraphy by French artist Frédéric Forest, who hails from our home country. Since fragrance is such a personal choice, we encourage you to try it in-store first. It goes on sale on Wednesday, July 1.
