A new-era festival spanning music, art, and technology is kicking off. The masterminds behind it are Daito Manabe and Beat Ink.

An experimental museum that has opened in Takanawa Gateway City, “MoN Takanawa"Have you been there yet? The perfect event to fully experience its charm is 'FUTURE FREQUENCIES FESTIVAL 2026 (hereinafter referred to as FFF)will be held.

"FFF" is a group active on the global cutting edge of media artDaito ManabeAnd so, the music label / promoterBeat InkAn event organized by this duo. It offers a chance to enjoy media art and music with state-of-the-art lighting and sound.

DAY 1 features Joy Orbison, a central figure in the UK dance music scene, and Savers of Paradise, a legendary act that led the music scene of the 1990s with their unique, avant-garde sound blending punk, dub, ambient, and techno. Also don’t miss the audio-visual performance by Nosage Thing and Daito Manabe.

On DAY 2, the duo Knower—featuring Lewis Cole and Genevieve Altadi—will headline the show. Also not to be missed is Kassa Overalls, who deconstructs and reconstructs jazz and hip-hop to continually create a musical language from another dimension.

The venue consists of three stages: “BOX 1000,” which serves as the main stage; “BOX 300,” which hosts programs such as audio-visual live performances and visual installations in addition to musical performances; and “TATAMI,” where talks and film screenings take place. With access to other floors—including the bar on the B2F, the footbath terrace on the 6F, and the rooftop garden—you can enjoy the full “MoN Takanawa” experience.

The environment surrounding artistic expression is currently undergoing significant changes.

While works of art are being created, shared, and consumed at an unprecedented pace, opportunities for people to gather in the same place and chance upon the unknown are becoming increasingly rare.

New culture does not arise from finished works. It emerges from the intersection of different backgrounds, values, and practices. And that moment arrives long before any genre or name is assigned to it.

This festival is not a venue for merely replicating existing values, but rather a space for fostering the conditions in which future culture can emerge. Its purpose is not to simply bridge fields such as music, art, and technology. Rather, we aim to create an environment where these various practices intersect, allowing new perspectives and approaches to emerge naturally.

Our goal is not simply to share Japanese culture with the world. It is to create reasons for artists and audiences from around the world to visit Japan to encounter new forms of culture.

Culture is not something that can be created through planning. However, it is possible to design an environment that fosters its emergence. This festival is an attempt to do just that.
