Consistency is power. Yumiko Utsu’s exhibition—in which she has continued to give shape to the images in her mind through photography for over 30 years—opens today.

As the title suggests, the exhibition will feature a comprehensive collection ranging from albums from when I first started taking photos in 1995, to portfolios submitted to open calls, two photo books, approximately 50 different zines I began creating in 2019, and even dummy books.

Don’t miss the venue’s bold new initiative: T-shirts and original merchandise will be on sale, and during the artist’s in-gallery hours, you can request a portrait session in the surrounding area (reservations preferred; 20 minutes for ¥4,000).
