"Movie Horoscopes" is a series in which stylist Yuta Kaji takes on the role of a fortune-teller and prescribes movies to help people with their worries. I’ve described it as if it were the most natural thing in the world, but it’s truly a one-of-a-kind form of service-oriented entertainment.
This "movie horoscope" was first held at a film festival organized by Mr. Kaji, then appeared as a web article on Fuinam, and has continued to evolve in various forms ever since.
And in August, when summer is in full swing, it will make its return.
The event takes place at "Porter Omotesando." A movie fortune-telling session will be held in one of the store's rooms.
Since this is a popular event, we’ll be charging ¥2,200 per person this time. However, considering it’s a rare opportunity to speak with Mr. Kaji—and that he’ll listen to your concerns and create a movie just for you—it’s certainly not an exorbitant price.
What’s more, after the fortune-telling session, Mr. Kaji’s old friend, illustrator Shuntaro Takeuchi, will draw an illustration on a shop card right there on the spot. It’s sure to be a day filled with souvenirs and wonderful memories.
Movies aren’t powerful enough to change your life, but they can certainly have an effect on whatever’s weighing on you right now. Come vent your summer frustrations here. Mr. Kaji will give you a detailed reading.
