"Brand New Days," a hair salon in Shibuya, is hosting a pop-up event. They will be exhibiting and selling a variety of items related to New York.

New York and Shibuya, Tokyo—the birthplaces of every conceivable form of street culture. Although they differ in scale, both have consistently fostered their own unique cultures.

A pop-up event connecting these two locations will be held at the Shibuya hair salon “BRANDNEWDAYS.” The salon goes beyond the confines of a typical hair salon, continuously engaging in activities that create connections with the people and things surrounding hair culture—including fashion, music, and art.

As part of this exhibition, we are showcasing works by painter Gregory Simmons, who continues to create art while working at “Supreme Brooklyn.” The series of works draws inspiration from Japan’s unique “bōsōzoku culture” and is expressed through the unique perspective of someone who lives in New York and is actively immersed in the street scene.

T-shirts featuring designs from the artwork will also be available in limited quantities. After the event, they will also go on sale at “Blankmag Books” in Manhattan, New York.
