Artist Ryuji Kamiyama is holding a surprise photo exhibition. It will tour Tokyo, Yamanashi, and Nikko.

Ryuji Kamiyama is not only active as an artist in various fields, but in recent years has also become deeply involved in the trail running scene; in addition to his graphic design work, he is rapidly improving as a runner himself.

One thing he has consistently done—whether during his daily training or in long races spanning 100 miles—is taking photographs. And he did it on film. An exhibition featuring the photos he has accumulated over the years, titled “MEMORIES: ”Records, Memories, and Film Photography,’” will begin its tour at “LIVING DEAD AID by ANSWER4” in Takao, Tokyo.

The event kicks off in Tokyo on Friday, September 4; in October, it moves to “Michiga Massugu” in Yamanashi; in November, it heads to “Ametsuchi” in Nikko—with the events primarily taking place at trail running and outdoor specialty stores—and then returns to Tokyo in November to be held at “Miss Branch,” a gallery and café.
