A new form of play that bridges the gap between “drawing” and “wearing.” The Akaku × UNDER R art exhibition is now open.

Art and fashion take on various forms depending on the era and reflect the unique atmosphere of that time.

The exhibition “Youth Knows No Boundaries,” which showcases the results of this new collaboration between the two, will be held at “UNDER R TOKYO” from Friday, October 9, through Thursday, October 22.

Five creators from “Eikaku”—Kiyobi, Natsumi Sato, NAKAKI PANTZ, Chiaki Harada, and Natsumi Yoshida—will participate in the event, exhibiting and selling their respective works.

Natsumi Sato, known for her "peloringirl" illustrations featuring girls sticking out their tongues.

NAKAKI PANTZ portrays a vision of women who are “strong, cute, and true to themselves.”

Chiaki Harada expresses her pent-up emotions in a colorful way.

The T-shirts created especially for this event are limited-edition items featuring artwork by each of the five artists.

Kiyoubi specializes in "new retro" art styles that evoke nostalgia for the '80s and '90s.

Natsumi Yoshida creates peaceful works with a nostalgic touch and color palette.

Instead of confining art to picture frames, this exhibition brings it to the everyday item—the T-shirt. It offers a fresh perspective on the close connection between fashion, illustration, and pop culture—a connection that the neighborhood of Harajuku has long nurtured.

True to the title, “Youth Knows No Boundaries,” we’ll be enjoying what we love, just the way we want, without worrying about genre boundaries. It looks like it’s going to be two weeks filled with that kind of “fun.”
