While is known for its clothing line centered on tailoring, these sneakers are also brimming with attention to detail.
This shoe was created in collaboration with ASICS. It is based on a handball shoe that debuted in the 1990s.
The upper is made from “Chromexcel,” an oiled leather produced by Horween, a long-established tannery in Chicago, USA.
This leather is produced using a combination of chrome tanning and vegetable tanning, resulting in a material that offers both high durability and flexibility. It is treated with a special oil blend containing fats such as beef tallow, fish oil, and beeswax, giving it a supple texture and a rich, deep appearance.
In addition, the eye-catching leather tongue was custom-made by artisans in Asakusa, Tokyo, and is reminiscent of the quilted tongue found on leather dress shoes.
If you look closely, you'll see that a logo charm made by KOTAOKUDA—which is also used in the main collection of *Sou Shiootsuki*—is attached to the shoe hole.
This special edition sneaker is limited to 50 pairs, andSales begin at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 29, at the online store. It is currently available for pre-release at "Kith Tokyo."
