The Tomigaya Playground has reopened after a renovation! With an expanded selection of sneakers, we’re exploring new possibilities.

"PLAYGROUND" sells and customizes sneakers selected from a unique perspective by director Yusuke Kusaka and features shoes from the original brand 〈pg〉. By carefully selecting sneakers based on three criteria—design, functionality, and originality—the store discovers new value in them.

Recently, “Playground” reopened after a renovation aimed at expanding its sales floor and product offerings to explore new possibilities. The entire length of the walls on both sides has been transformed into sneaker walls, and the space has been expanded to showcase a wider selection of items.

We are currently selling original items created to coincide with this relaunch. These are collaborations with brands we’ve had a long-standing relationship with.

FreshService × PLAYGROUND ¥50,600

This stand-collar down jacket was created in collaboration with . It is made from “PERTEX® QUANTUM,” a lightweight fabric that offers excellent wind resistance and water repellency. Inspired by the puffer jackets that were popular in the 1990s street scene, it features a voluminous silhouette. A triangular logo is featured on the left chest, while the message “ANOTHER SNEAKERS” is displayed on the right chest. With a color scheme reminiscent of outdoor gear from that era, this piece makes a bold statement.

pg SPECIAL EDITION COLORS I.O. ¥30,800

PG’s “I.O.” mountain boot-style shoes are now available in colors designed to match the custom-made down jacket created in collaboration with Fresh Service. The outsole features a Vibram® Light Trek sole, delivering both lightness and comfort. Equipped with a waterproof, breathable membrane called “KING-TEX,” these boots are suitable for all weather conditions. The model name is derived from Mount Iyogatake, a mountain located in Chiba Prefecture, the hometown of Director Kusaka.

Sillage × PLAYGROUND ¥38,500

These sweatpants are a collaboration item with *Sillage*, a brand led by Yuthanan, a designer who loves sneakers. The “CIRCULAR PANTS”—*Sillage*’s signature piece, characterized by its wide, circular silhouette—feature the “Playground” logo embroidered on them.

We’re also currently selling pre-owned sneakers—a unique initiative exclusive to “Playground.” They’re both nostalgic and on-trend. We have a wide selection of items that you’ll want to wear right now more than ever. Among them are some truly special, hard-to-find pairs.
