By repurposing once-used truck tarps, creates unique bags and accessories that are one-of-a-kind.FREITAG. The Zurich factory uses stored rainwater to wash dirty tarps, and the brand is also characterized by its environmental and other CSR initiatives.
Until now, the only flagship store in Japan has been located in Tokyo, but now the Osaka store has opened in full force.
Designed in cooperation with Trough Architects, the new store in the heart of the Minami-Semba district is a 65 m² space that houses over 1,200 one-of-a-kind bags and is surrounded by tall Freitag shelves on all sides of the walls. In the center of the store, a large number of original recycled small items and accessories are displayed and form an attractive checkout counter, creating an impressive space that no other store in the world offers such a high density of one-of-a-kind Freitag products.
Bicycle culture is said to be more active in Kansai than in Tokyo. The opening of a directly-managed store in Osaka and the Kansai region, where many "Freitag" fans and bicycle riders are located, will be of great significance to both fans and the brand. First of all, please take a moment to enjoy the brand's worldview, which has been thoroughly explored in every corner of the space.
The brand is also unique in that it has enthusiastic fans in Japan and other parts of Asia. If you have friends overseas who are "Freitag" freaks, please tell them about it.
