Starting next season, the two companies plan to release denim that is environmentally friendly to the planet, which is the main will of Sustainable Jeans for the spring/summer 2018 season.
Jaden Smith had this to say about the partnership.
I first became involved with G-Star Row through Pharrell Williams, whom I admire. I'm very excited about the recent sustainable innovations, especially the launch of sustainable denim. I think G-Star Row is at the forefront of sustainable manufacturing and is at the top of the denim industry. This is exactly what I have been trying to do with JUST Water, which I am involved in. It is a great honor for me to collaborate with G-Star Row. I hope to learn from this experience and make a positive impact on the denim and fashion world.
In addition, a special movie shot at the G-Star RAW Store in Shibuya and other locations in Tokyo, including a scene of Jaden Smith talking about sustainability at G-Star RAW's Amsterdam headquarters, is now on view on the official YouTube account.
