Graphic Artist : Midas Miyake
He is the son of a Lithuanian prince who came to Tokyo in the early 70's and met his mother, who is Japanese. He was a hippie and grew up on a small island in the south of Japan. His first encounter with streetwear was in the late 90's working at Dorothy's Fortress warehouse, where he learned from his seniors. He later launched his own brand, Small, and has recently returned to Japan.
The black sweatshirt at the beginning of this article is a WISM Shinjuku exclusive, and the item is called "Penguin! Midas Miyake, who was in charge of the graphics, is the son of a Lithuanian prince, according to his published profile. Does that mean he is a prince? The mystery only deepens.
The next sweatshirt with an eye-catching graphic of a frog sitting on a rocky beach is also by Midas Miyake. This sweatshirt is also by Midas Miyake and has a strong impact. It is available in two colors, black and khaki, at all "WISM" stores.
Sakura ¥10,000+TAX
Graphic Artist : Alex Chin
Born to a Japanese father and Chinese mother, Alex Chin was born and raised in New York City's Chinatown, where he spent most of his time skateboarding. One day, a group of strangely dressed people he saw in Times Square caught his eye, and from then on he decided to write them down in a drawing for the record.
The red sweatshirt "Sakura" is graphically designed by Alex Chin. In contrast to the beautiful cherry blossoms on the front, the back features the words "SHOUT OUT."
Lastly, I would like to introduce the brand concept of "Danow.
The world is full of things we don't know. We don't even know if it's all true or false. It depends on the person who receives the information. Dunno asks artists and designers who are secretly active but nobody knows about them to create a variety of things.
Danow, which is anonymous but has been getting a lot of attention, has started to take on substance as a "real" brand. Don't miss out on this masterpiece collaboration with Wism, the best store to tag team with!
