Ise Kasuga, also a Huinamu bloggeris the director and curator of the "VOILLD." . will be reopening to commemorate its 5-year anniversary.
The first exhibition of the reopening will be "COMMA( COMMA)," a solo exhibition of new works by Tokyo-based painter Yudai Nishi. This exhibition will be Nishi Yudai's first new works in about a year and his fourth exhibition at "Void" following his solo exhibition "Rainbow Cave" held in 2018.
As you can see, the freedom to move freely between figuration and abstraction is an appealing feature of his work.
. The exhibition will feature approximately 20 new two-dimensional works and the first attempt at a giant three-dimensional work.
In this exhibition titled "COMMA," the works were created on the theme of questioning our understanding at zero comma ( momentary ), which is less than one second. While the motifs typical of Nishi, such as flowers, plants, animals, and humorous human-like characters, are still present, the works seem to have become more energetic.
At the exhibition, original items such as rug mats, blankets, and T-shirts created in collaboration with "Void" and produced for the exhibition will also be available for purchase.
In addition, the store in the renovated gallery will feature limited items and original items by artists such as Ken Kagami, magma, and Kataoka Meriyasu, as well as rare archival items.
Please look forward to the rebirth of "Voided".
